What jobs is a 10 wheel truck for?
A 10 wheel truck for hire is the largest truck in our fleet. It carries 10–15 tonnes and suits loads too heavy or too large for a 6 wheel truck, such as:
- Large amounts of building materials – steel, formwork timber, cement
- Machinery and factory equipment
- Exhibition booths and large stage structures

Crane trucks
If heavy items must be lifted on or off the truck and there is no crane or forklift on site – machinery, water tanks, electrical cabinets or structural parts – use a crane truck, which has a hydraulic crane on board to load the truck and set items down at the destination. Tell us the weight and size of the heaviest piece when you ask for a quote, and we will choose a truck whose crane can lift it safely.
How is the price calculated?
The price of a 10 wheel truck depends on:
- Distance from pick-up to drop-off, and expressway tolls
- Truck type – cage, box or crane truck
- Weight and type of goods – whether a crane or loaders are needed
- How long you need the truck – one trip, several trips or a full day
